Learn the Art of Mosaic

Thursdays 6-9PM  |  Space limited to 6 per class

Non-refundable $25 deposit required to reserve your seat

Are your Thursdays a bit boring? Need a little mid-week escape? Then grab a bottle of wine and a friend, and take part in downtown Cape Girardeau's only guided mosaic art class.

Now, don't panic. No experience is required. We will help you tap into your creative free spirit, allowing you to produce a one-of-a-kind art showpiece that is perfect for home decor or a gift for family and loved ones.

Class instructor, Marti Hartle has designed these classes with the beginner in mind. From glass cutting to glass placement to the process of proper grouting, you will leave class with a new-found excitement and appreciation for stained glassworks.

All materials are provided. Grouting instructions for your finished piece will be given, or for a small fee, your work can be grouted for you.

Wine Chiller $50

Start with a terracotta wine chiller base, and add beautiful stained glass pieces that you cut and place. Not a wine drinker? This can also be used as a kitchen utensil holder.

12x12 $50

Embrace your inner creativity and show your own style! Create your own design using the provided 12" x 12" piece of wood that fits perfectly into a frame purchased at common retail locations. (ex: Target and Hobby Lobby)

Initial $50

An 18" pre-cut wooden letter of your choice is the substrate of this great creation. Makes perfect indoor/outdoor art, baby's room decor, wedding/birthday gifts, and more.

Freestyle $25+

The ultimate class to explore your inner creativity! Look around your home, grab any object as your base that can be easily enhanced in under 3 hours, and once grouted, you will have an amazing showstopper that you can be proud of.

Note: With the Intitial and 12 x 12 classes, you are encouraged to personalize your piece with a vareity of items: antique buttons, grandma's jewelry, Legos...Get the idea?

While broken china is beautiful and often used in mosaic works, it is extremely difficult to use, therefore it is not encouraged for our beginner classes.
